Another mans trash… You’ve heard that saying I’m sure. Everyone loves to save money and fashion should be no different. While there are a lot of bad clothes (Halloween costumes excluded) in these stores, if you know what to look for, you can find amazing deals. Locations matter and where you shop at a thrift store. I always use the ones that are charitable, not trendy. Their mission is to help people, not fleece you.
I usually go about once or twice a month. Know your sizes. Cheaper brands usually range big, brand names closer to size and couture are usually smaller than you think. Couture are clothes that are made specifically for clients or a specific customer base.
Men’s shoes are really hard to find a decent pair, due to the fact men wear shoes to they fall apart! If you do find a good pair, check the soles and you can always have them resoled for minimum price. New pair of shoes!
It goes without saying, check all the things you plan to buy. Look for holes, tears, missing buttons and zippers! Always check the zippers!
Here are a few of the purchases I have made. That’s about $300 worth of clothes
for about $40. The shoes may need soles soon, so that will be around $40. That’s still a great find!
