So the nursery is in full swing. I posted before that the theme was going to be “The Jungle Book”. Not being able to find anything remotely usable for the nursery since everything Disney now consists of Frozen, Star Wars (crappy) and all things Marvel, I had to get a little creative. Luckily, myself sister is just as creative and gave me this idea. I found the prints I wanted on the internet. Printed them out. Found a box at work. Found some clear plastic film (also at work) and went to Michaels and purchased metallic Sharpie Paint pens.
1st step . Trace outline to plastic film using a medium to fine tip marker. 2nd step. Cut hole in box. 3rd step . Place iPhone w/flashight feature (any direct beam light source will work) in the very back of the box with light shining out. 4th step . Tape the image over the opening in the box. Moving the box back and forth should reduce or enlarge the image to the size you need. 5th step. Use chalk or a pencil to trace (lightly) the image onto the wall. I would use a color dark enough to see depending on what your wall color is. I used a white pencil that would wipe off after the paint pen step. 6th step. Follow directions on the package and draw over your lines with the Sharpie. I used gold and silver because the walls were a dark green and blue.
As with most nurseries, furniture and layout will ensure that all your hard work can be seen. Lay out your floor plan and tape off on the wall how high you need the images to be on the wall and mark it all around the room with painters tape.
