Mens basic styles have never really changed. Fads and style are not to be confused. We all have done it. Seriously, we all have done it. Ed Hardy shirts, baggy pants, Cosby sweaters, over sized T-shirts, and multicolored shirts.

When you realize that what you wear is just as important as what you know or say, then congrats! You are a grown adult.

Sinatra, Cary Grant, Daniel Craig, Clooney, Pitt are just a few examples of guys that dress down or up, but always look put together. Granted, we all don’t have their swag bag, their money to buy top of the line gear, but you can make small investments on good quality clothing and make the same impression and feel good!

 Starter guide.

  1. White Oxford shirt . Worn with a suit or without. Jeans or chinos or underneath a sweater.
  2. V neck sweater . If you can afford cashmere, have at it. Merino wool will suffice.
  3. Dark jeans . Normal or straight fit. No big baggy jeans here.
  4. White, gray and black Tees .  Sleep, gym or out on the town. Versatile piece in your clothing arsenal.
  5. Black lace up shoes . Look good with any suit color and go well with jeans.
  6. Good overnight bag . These are usually called “weekender” bags. This is an investment piece. Good quality usually means a good price. Shop around. Ebay is good place to look.
  7. Navy blue 3 button suit . Most versatile of all the suits. Extend the range by wearing it with any of the above listed  items. It works. Have yourself measured at a suit store and then buy and tailor accordingly.
  8. Medium width tie . Fits most if not all types of dress or casual shirts. The knot can be tied to fit.(if your a feeling nostalgic, a bow tie can work as well)
  9. Good overcoat.  For winter and a good jacket for fall or spring.
  10. Sunglasses.  Aviators, and Wayfarers are the ones I have. Good for business dress, or causal jaunts round town! Start building your wardrobe here on my blogs shopping site. All the stores, all the brands at all the best prices. In store pick up or great deals on shipping.

Who doesn’t love sunglasses? I do. But who hates paying $70-$300 a pair for good ones? I do. There are plenty of knock offs. Cheap Amazon brands that don’t look like the photo when you finally get them and then you realize why they were $10.00. Well, if you love great products at great […]

It’s a serious question that I have not heard anyone asking. Daily briefings, death counts, more restrictions, more misinformation, no debate, and a flailing economy waiting on trillions from a disconnected representative government trying to save it by subsidizing it. I’m one of the lucky ones I guess? My job at this time has been […]

Guests on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood were often surprised to find that although Rogers was just as gentle and patient in life as on television, he was nevertheless a perfectionist who did not allow “shoddy” ad-libbing;[29] he believed that children were thoughtful people who deserved programming as good as anything produced for adults on television. (Wikipedia)   “Hello Neighbor” Anyone at least […]

I wrote what seems ages ago about a new skincare line that was coming. Well, one baby ago it came. It’s been out for about 6 months and I’ve been using it. It is amazing! It has a face cleansing gel, an eye serum (late nite puffiness) hydrating creme,  and a restoring serum. (Think botox […]

This will post at exactly 9:30 pm on September 2nd. This is the exact time you came to us exactly 1 year ago, my little boy. I knew my life would change the day we realized we were having you. All the planning and details were all for naught, because you came early. So small. […]

Last year at this time, I had a family member pass from a tragic accident. Shocking that her life (that she lived to the fullest) came to an abrupt and tragic end. We scurried around for weeks cleaning out her house. Looking at old memories and finding a lot of things I did not know. […]

9 Months old. I can’t believe it! Still tiny (1%) but everything is progressing right on point. Baby gates, baby proofing, school, college, and life, are the thoughts are flooding my mind. What do I tell him about his future? What direction do I point him in so he doesn’t make the same mistakes I […]
